Going Dutch is always a good option

We managed to get a bus from Cromwell to right outside the office of car hire queenstown airport which was handy because we were meeting some friends there who were flying down from Auckland and they were then coming with us in the car and staying at the house we had rented. Originally we were just going to stay at a hotel but then when our friends mentioned that they would be interesting in coming down as well we figured we might as well get a house so that all of us could stay at the same place. It worked out really well because we ended up sharing the expenses and that made for reasonably cheap accommodation for all of us.
