Easy Steps to Make a Sticky Toffee Pudding

May 9th, 2010

To make a sticky toffee pudding, you will need dates, water, baking soda, butter, brown sugar, eggs, self-raising flour, double cream, and rum. First, you have to preheat your oven. Then, you have to put all ingredients, except for the double cream, in the mixer. Mix thoroughly and place the batter in a loaf tin. Then, bake it for forty minutes. And while waiting for the sticky toffee pudding cake to bake, you can start making the toffee sauce. Just simmer the butter, brown sugar, and double cream in a saucepan for approximately seven minutes. You will know that it is ready when the sugar dissolves and the color turns darker. Then, take out the cake and add the sauce. Voila! Your sticky toffee pudding is done.
