Sony VAIO Laptop Defective

Sony has sold thousands of laptops of its F Series and C Series around the world, including countries in U.S., Europe and Asia. However, the Japanese company encourages users to update the firmware to solve this overheating problem and has taken the decision to recover more than 535,000 copies of the laptops. About 535,000 units of VAIO notebooks may overheat. The overheat doesn’t result from Sony laptop batteries as what happened before. The error is associated with temperature indicator. This failure of temperature control can generate damage to the casing of the notebook, not to mention the possibility that the hot plastic can cause skin burns to the user. Although So far, Sony stands to have received only 39 complaints related to the problem, do not delay to take action on the matter and proceed to collect the equipment.
On the other hand, this great “fault” seems to have a fairly simple solution: the problem can be mitigated with a simple firmware update the BIOS , which modifies the values set for the team to cool its internal components, increasing the speed of the fans before they reach temperature values of concern for the system. Of course it is not a task that all users are willing to do, especially after buying a new computer.
Sony has made a web page available to its users about where you can check whether the model corresponds to VAIO notebook series indicated, as the series that have been affected.
