Diamond Jewelry for Benefit Dinner

August 31st, 2010

My friend was shopping for new jewelry the other day.  She has a benefit dinner coming up at a very prominent location and she wants to be sure she is properly dressed for the event.  She was looking at diamond earrings and felt the jeweler was giving her the run around.  She told him she would think about the purchase and come back alter.  She called to see what I thought, and I told her she definitely needs to see the certification form AGS, or IGI (or another trusted lab) and then compare stones with that from another jeweler.  There is no reason to buy jewelry from a place that feels untrustworthy.
