Adobe Acrobat necessary for paperless office
August 18th, 2010
I just ran across an interesting article on paperless technology. It appears that the non-free (the version that costs hundreds of dollars) version of Adobe Acrobat is really a necessity for anyone wanting to implement and run a paperless office. The reason for this is the ability the software has to manipulate text. This is a real necessity if any of your data needs to be edited after you scan it into the computer. If you can’t edit one important document, it could mean some pretty serious trouble and inconvenience. The author also points out that Acrobat can compress PDFs to a smaller file size much better than free software can.
