Doctor Thank You Notes

I know people send thank you notes for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, funeral, but I have never heard of thank you notes for doctors. Well last week, I read an article that states some people do send thank you notes to their medical provider. These types of letters usually remind the doctor of the work he performed and complimenting the doctor on the fine job he did while under his care. Telling the doctor how much his care meant and ending the letter with an upbeat comment such as when I look at my scars, I will remember the fine job you did. I think this is such a great idea.
