What Long Term Care Insurance Covers

One of the reasons that I encouraged my mother to obtain long term care insurance while she was young was because of all the different things that it covers. Naturally, her policy covered some of the costs associated with care in a nursing home, but if she did not need a nursing home, it also covered hospice care and assisted living facilities. There are expensive services that most people do not associate with long term care. Unfortunately, people do not understand what long term care is all about.
