Heat Pumps Are Essential In Your Furnace or Boiler
January 23rd, 2010
Bringing heat into the home from the furnace or boiler is the Heat Pumps job. It’s entire existence is about moving hot air (or cold air as well) from the inside of the heater out through insulated pipes, and into the home through either a vent or duct work which distributes this continuous flow of heat. The heat pump is the one part of your unit that you can’t live without. If it goes out the entire unit won’t do you a bit of good, even if it’s still producing heat. The bottom line is if the heat can’t be moved and purchased through to the home, it’s wasted. It can also overheat the heater if the heat pump goes out. Often there are safety triggers to avoid this.
