Can Any One Be An Ontario Mortgage Broker?

If you take and pass the necessary courses, you can qualify to be a mortgage agent and receive a license to practice. An ontario mortgage broker has considerably more work and time to qualify for and most mortgage agents end up working under a mortgage broker.
Accounts with a CA designation and any lawyer that has passed the bar exam can apply and become a mortgage broker without having to take all the requisite classes of someone starting from scratch.
The current training and requirements are far greater now than they were 10 years ago and as a result, less people actually become mortgage brokers.
