Normal weight of garage doors is in hundreds of pounds and with this much weight; it contains lots of dangerous parts. Especially when you talk about springs in these doors then, you must know that these are very heavy duty springs which remain under tons of stress / a day. They are very dangerous in a sense that they can break at any time and upon breaking, they can fly in your garage. They can not only damage your car but if you are near then, you can get some fatal injury. So avoid repairing or maintaining these springs without proper safety precautions and tools.
