Gain Weight and Muscle by Consuming Calories
December 12th, 2009
The most important thing to understand when it comes to calories and building muscle is that in order to gain weight and muscle, you must consume more calories than you burn. This is nothing more than simple mathematics.
If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose body weight. If you consume the same amount of calories than you burn, your bodyweight will stay the same. So obviously in order to gain muscular weight your caloric intake must exceed your caloric expenditure. If you fail to consume more calories than you burn, you will not gain weight, plain and simple.
