The length, shape, and way a horse’s neck connects to the chest and the back will change depending on the breed and usage of the pony. Horses with small eyes may suffer with diminished vision or have a medical problem. Eyes shouldn’t be set too far toward the sides of the head, otherwise strange fields of vision will surely be a problem. The nostrils should be open and symmetrical, to make allowance for maximum air intake. Horses with intensely dished heads or thick necks often have trouble taking in the correct quantity of air notwithstanding nostril size, so be sure you take these things under consideration.
