March 9th, 2010
There is a small community called the seventh-day Adventists, which are renown for there long life spans. In an attempt to unlock the secret of their abnormally extended lives, a group of researchers followed and examined the life styles of over 30 thousand of their people. What they found was those people that ate a daily dose of nuts were able to increase their life spans by nearly 3 years more. Nuts are known as a very healthy snack, containing a mix of nutrient rich ingredients, the protein and mono saturated fats work to clean out our arteries. Each kind of nut has differing levels of nutrients, Walnuts contain a good amount of Omega-3 oils, which lowers the cholesterol and is good for our heart functions. A good handful of nuts a day will definitely work to keep you out of the doctors office; try to avoid overly salted and smoked peanuts as they will increase your blood pressure. You can also add a telomerase supplement to your diet and based on resent research telomerase is directly responsible for extending the life of cells.
