July 18th, 2010
The hepatocellular carcinomas have trabecular structure, and vascularity is a prominent feature. These lesions frequently invade branches of the portal vein and occasionally the hepatic veins. The formation of gaint cells is a feature of hepatocellular carcinoma and aids in distinguishing this lesion from the secondary carcinoma of the liver. The cell type of the bile duct carcinoma is columnar and its microscopic appearance may be impossible to distinguish from that of carcinoma of the gallbladder or extrahepatic biliary duct system.ICD 10 Coding. makes you spend more time with patients and increase the quality of the care.
