I was completely worn out. I had been stressed out for way too long. Every week was like running a marathon just to get to Friday. I really needed a break to “charge my batteries”, so to speak. I just wanted to spend a weekend doing mindless things like playing with teck deck ramps or watching old 80s movies and reading trashy novels. Then my sister called and said she needed someone to come out there right away, she’s in crisis, she’s back on heroin, and she needs help. So, my whirlwind continues. I’ll be back in town sometime next week, hopefully.

I am trying to convince myself that it isn’t necessary to buy name brand, famous designer dresses for girls. I really don’t think when they are as young as my daughters that they care about this sort of thing. However, I kind of do, so I keep finding myself drawn to these even if they are a bit outside of my budget. I am debating whether it would be better to get them just a few things to wear that are really cool, or more clothes that are not as cool but are still pretty cute and a lot less expensive.

On Thursday evening I went with my sister down to the Home Depot to pick out a new refrigerator for her home. My sister’s husband is still stationed over in Iraq and she needed my assistance on a few things now and then. Picking out a refrigerator was one of them. Six months before my sister had her first child I was the one that helped her pick out some Baby Wall Decor. I don’t mind helping my sister out as she is crippled in her left leg and needs assistance from time to time. We ended up taking a refrigerator that had a high energy Star rating.
