Well, usually in life when we want the best we have to pay the best price so to speak. When talking about anti-viruses this logic doesn’t apply. With AVG free you are better protected than with any other anti-virus software. They have their sponsors and they also have a very good goal. That is to keep all the computers in the world safe from malicious software, viruses and spyware. So noone will have to make a decision between saving money or getting anti-virus software. That goal alone makes me want to support the team of AVG by using their software. What about you ?

Every now and then I purchase software for my computer, which tends to be fairly rare since my laptop isn’t the most powerful. But, when I do I am sure it will be full of functionality. In terms of my most favorite, I would have to say Microsoft Word. I know, a generic piece of utility software. And as a student I am pretty much required to have it, but I am truly impressed with it. There is a lot of flak towards the Microsoft King of Software scam for some of their products but I feel they do an excellent job on Office, and it doesn’t hurt that I can get it heavily discounted due to me being a student. I recently purchased Word 2010 after owning Word 2003 for a number of years. The vastly improved support for third party formats, such as PDF, and the UI changes are without a doubt the highlights. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Word 2010 starts. It generally takes less then two seconds from a cold start, a vast improvement of Word 2003 which could take two to three times as long. The UI also experienced subtle yet noticeable changes which really help when creating documents.

Since I was working with a limited budget when I was building a website, when I was looking for a host for my site I had to find myself some cheap web hosting. When I first set out to do this I was nervous as I was unsure whether I would be able to find hosting that would fit within my budget or not. Soon after I began my search, however, I realized that there were tons of options available for affordable hosting for my site and I was eventually able to choose one of them and I have been using them to host my site ever since.

My brother joined an affiliate program with a website that sells beach balls. He wants me to join too so that I can be in his down-line. He told me that I can link their website to mine. I can log in and check my earnings and commissions through Affiliate Script. I asked him how often I get paid, and it’s done daily! It will generate more traffic to their website and help there business and in exchange I make money. I decided that I will join my brother’s down-line, and then start my own. I will set a goal and try to get a few affiliates this month and grow my line!

I’m blessed with the fact that my parents live on the same property and can watch our kids instead of using daycare. But, I often hear of problems with computer use. It seems kids don’t know how to share… who knew?
The solution was quite simple and inexpensive. I set up her computer with Add-A-Mouse. It’s simple software that enables the computer to easily use multiple mice simultaneously. This way, each child can have their own mouse and participate in games and browsing together.
My next challenge is trying to find a comfortable bench seat, so they can sit next to each other

People who accidentally delete files and are unable to find them will be able to get them back with a free undelete program.
