A woman who recently moved has found her cat after an astonishing seven weeks where it lived inside a portable moving storage unit that was placed in front of her house during the initial moving process. After everything was packed, she couldn’t find her cat even though she looked for days. Amazingly the cat survived being locked up in the storage unit for seven weeks before it was found. This story serves as a strong reminder that dogs and cats should always be secured so that Los Angeles residential movers can do their job without the pets getting in the way and potentially lost.

Well, well, well… he can’t succeed as an NFL quarterback because he doesn’t play they way they think he should. Really? Or, is it just because he disturbs the power brokers of the Denver Broncos and the NFL by being and demonstrating he is a CHRISTIAN. He did win the Heisman trophy??? Where is the coaching and mentoring by the Denver Broncos of Mr. Tebow to improve his performance as an NFL quarterback. This is their job and what they are being paid for. God and being CHRISTIAN makes them uncomfortable and is messing with their heads.

Ah yes, balancing the budget advice on relationships the backs of the poor.
Meanwhile Sanders and his fellow reds have created a freebie handout regime specifically to buy the votes of the poor on your back and mine.
I came into this world poor. I don’t mind putting out to help people who are where I once was. I donate more than ten percent of my income every year in idealistic causes and because of this have never owned a car less than seven years old. It’s a question of priorities, and for me, giving this portion of my income takes precedence.
But I wouldn’t dream of taking from someone else to perform charitable works. That is despicable. Get ahold of your envy and greed and channel that into productive pursuits and you will be less poor, whether in money or knowledge or social relationships or whatever you invested that time and energy into. Of course that path involves taking responsibility so it may be too much to ask of the Democrats’ bought constituents. Nevertheless it is true and would benefit both them and all of us if they would give it a try.

And what if that guilty person was Osama Bin Laden? What if that person were the yorkshire Ripper? What if that person planned on placing a version of the Czar bomb in Washington or New York. Resulting in the destruction of large parts of the USA. Sir William Blackstone like most jurist tend to overstate there case. Reasonable doubt is a matter of opinion. And everyone rules out the possibility that this was a perverse verdict in that the Jury thought the evidence proved guilt beyond a reasonable doubt but this aquitted her. In England I can cite several cases like that. They were not all murder or manslaughter cases but are we to imagine that a jury would not do the same in a murder trial of this nature?

The good news is that they’re gone by mid-February. The bad news is that they’re in the buffet line at the Golden Corral instead, and driving up health-care costs for everyone else. Maybe we could persuade them to stop using their seatbelts, drink too much, and take up smoking filterless cigarettes. That way, they’ll be gone before they’re eligible for Medicare and Social Security.
Seriously though, as someone who once weighed 238 lbs and now runs 100 milers in the mountains, I can say authoritatively to all the Newbies that the hardest thing is not to quit during that first six months. Stick with it. Don’t expect rapid results. If anything, you might gain weight after initial water loss. Don’t quit. No matter what, don’t quit. If you have a week in which you don’t make it to the gym, start fresh the next week and forget about the previous week of eating four croissants and jam in the conference room every morning during endless meetings. It’s not about what happened last week. It’s about what you’re going to do today.
After a year, you will be so surprised at how much you enjoy your class, time on the bike advice, or reps. ground out in the weight room. It will become part of your lifestyle as much as happy hour used to be.

The free advice market would be a far more strict and unforgiving disciplinarian than will any bureaucracy. By insulating business after business from the consequences of bad decisions and bad managment, our government is enabling and even encouraging more of the same. Sure, BP will get hammered by the government taxers and regulators, who will beat their chests and crow mightily but that will hurt BP far less than the hammering it would get from its competitors were there truly a free market.
The almost insurmountable barriers to entry in the oil exploration and development business, created and maintained in large part by government regulations, are protecting BP from the hungry wolves that would otherwise be lapping up its blood in a free market system.

This is really poor reasoning.
If a woman wants to see her sonogram, she is free to ask her physician to show it to her. If she has questions, she is free to ask them. This is true without the passage of the statute being challenged. What the Texas law does is coerce both the physician and the patient to deliver and listen to information that has not been sought by the patient. The point of the coercion is to try to dissuade the patient from having an abortion.
The effect of the paperwork is to create a record in case the state wants to prosecute either the patient or her doctor down the road. Kansas is best known for collecting data about abortions and then using it to try to convict doctors who perform abortions of crimes.

Yes, we can all read the Merck Manual. Many of these side effects are rare. Others get way worse when women don’t take their pill on time, at the same time every day (and thus double-up or even triple-up two or three days later.)
If women do experience side effects, they can switch from a generic to a brand label (they are often NOT chemically the same), or switch to another relationship advice for womenmulation/brand.
The pill is also thought to prevent ovarian cancer; something to really think about if you have a family history.
Re: estrogen in the water. By that reasoning, women should never become pregnant, because there’s way more estrogen in pregnant women’s urine (esp. later on in pregnancy) than in the urine of women on the pill.
Of course the pill isn’t for everyone. Obviously, as was pointed out up-thread, some women simply cannot take it. They can choose other contraceptive methods (including fertility awareness.) But that’s no reason to slam the pill out of hand.
