Using An Eftpos Terminal For Your Online Store

A common question we are asked is whether you can use your credit card machine to accept website payments. Technically the answer is “yes” but an eftpos terminal is designed for face to face transactions. If the sales from your website are the occasional product or booking then you are fine to use a terminal you already have. For busy website sales an online payments it is definitely worthwhile getting set up with an ponline payment gateway. This can be a costly exercise so maybe try out Paypal or a similar type facilty until you reach certain regualr sales volumes.
