We just adopted a cute little puppy from the local shelter and she is a little sweetheart. I have been busy trying to get her house trained and getting her used to our home. She is doing alright, but we still got her a waterproof dog bed so that we could keep her bedding cleaner when she has little accidents. I am sure that she will learn soon, but she is still really small. We think that she is a terrier mix and we named her Sadie. She is a great addition to our family and she is very affectionate and loving. I’m sure the waterproof dog bed was a great choice.

I was calling ahead to all the places I had made reservations at to confirm the bookings as I had been caught out in the past by not doing this. I phoned Rental car Picton and the bed and breakfast in Nelson to make sure that everything was still booked in and that was all fine, the ferry crossing was still on schedule as well which I was a bit surprised about due to the bad weather we had been having. I always get a bit nervous with that crossing in big swells as I don’t cope very well due to the fact I suffer from motion sickness.

I have never been to southern California. I have been to upper and mid California because I have visited Napa Valley, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Big Sur and Santa Monica. I really loved Santa Monica. The Third Street Promenade with all the shops, restaurants and bars is so much fun. Now, I will be going to San Diego so I need to find San Diego California hotels. I heard that Old Town and the Gaslamp Quarters district is somewhat similar to Santa Monica. That is, minus the possibility of seeing a Hollywood star or two. In Santa Monica, we went to the Ivy restaurant, which is known for star sightings.
