Growing up on a farm, I knew the importance of preparing your soil before planting a garden. Friends of mine, feel that this is an unnecessary step and plant their seeds without doing any preparation at all. I explained front tine tillers to them and how the tillers turn the soil and aerate it to make it a favorable environment for the seeds. I challenged them to borrow mine for one season to see if it would make a difference in the quality of their garden. To their surprise, their garden was one of the best that they have ever produced and they have since purchased a tiller of their own.

This is the time in our history where there are a lot of very qualified workers just waiting for work. What they do is so useful, yet there are not as many places where they are needed because people are doing more things themselves. This may be good for us in the long run. But for the long island electricians this has hit them pretty hard. They have seen a rapid decline in jobs. But are hopeful for this next year. More people are buying old houses that need electricians to come in and bring them up to code. It’s all for the tax write offs that this administration is giving.
