It has been a while since my family has taken a vacation. Our kids are getting older and do not always want to spend time with us, since we are their “old parents.” I have been looking online for some ideas that might work for all of us and I just saw some cute guest houses to rent online. I think that something like that might be just what we need. The kids can have some space of their own without feeling like we are on top of them. But at the same time we can finally get away together as a family.

Last year my husband and I bought this beautiful older house. We fell in love with the coved ceilings and the overall feeling of it. The basement however, was a little scary. After a few months of getting the main level decorated and painted to our taste we decided that we had to tackle the downstairs. We first thought that we should look at different basement ceiling ideas as we knew that the acoustic ceiling had to go. We looked over several types and styles and we knew that we wanted a ceiling that would give a feeling of spaciousness. We are pleased with our choice and the remodel is on its way.
